FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK

“Literacy in itself is no education. Literacy is not the end of education or even the beginning. By education I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in the child and man-body, mind and spirit.” Mahatma Gandhi

As the Principal of St. Lawrence Convent Sr. Sec School, Geeta Colony, which has a splendid history of providing education and opportunities to gifted and talented young children since 2000, I take this opportunity to welcome you all to the official website of the school. Firstly, I am honored and privileged to take this opportunity to thank the management, of Lawrence Group of Institutions for believing in me to serve society, for the holistic development of the future of India.

At SLC we nurture a positive spirit in creating and maintaining a fruitful collaboration between students, parents, teachers and support staff, striving to create a space that sustains excellence. With a rewarding history of achievement in academics, and in co-curricular activities like sports, dance, music, and others our school continues to move forward with confidence ,pride, and enthusiasm.

Dear Students, I wish to reaffirm the importance of a few things that we have to keep in mind. The vision of our school education is to teach you- our children- to be rationale and develop a capacity to reason out facts. Not just academics but you should always deliberate and review every event in which you are involved. It is vital to be steady in your academic pursuit to learn to enjoy hard work, preparing yourself for the future. Besides this, always defend and preserve our country’s traditions and territory.

I encourage all the students to seize the opportunities provided by the school and actively involving the mind and body is a sign of holistic development. With experienced teachers and an excellent learning environment, our school helps students to realize their learning capabilities.

As the future belongs to the students here; therefore, we at SLC prepare our students for active participation in the world. This demands that our students become well-informed and ultimately evolve to become responsible citizens of this country.
